One beautiful Saturday morning I was wandering around the local air patch, chatting up all the pilots getting ready to fly or just working on their planes. I hadn't been there for awhile, and was surprised to see this very clean, nicely painted Piper Tri-Pacer. I've had a fascination with Tri-Pacers every since I built the Monogram Kit as a kid, complete with a victorious hunter, posing for a picture with his foot on the vanquished mountain lion. Not very PC, but in the "Leave it to Beaver" days it was way cool. I've always felt the Tri-Pacer could be described as just plain friendly looking.
