This painting was created as a tribute to the late Dwight Thorn. Dwight was a legend in unlimited hydroplane and aircraft racing circles, known as the "Merlin Magician." His theories and designs for building stronger high performance racing engines helped create many record setting/race winning aircraft and boats.
The painting is featured in the 2021 winter issue, vol IX no. 1 of Golden Pylons magazine.
